Smart Sending is a feature that helps you filter and skip contacts who have recently received notifications from campaigns or automation flows. This helps prevent over-notifying customers and reduces unsubscribe rates.

Enabling Smart Sending for Marketing Campaigns
The Smart Sending feature is enabled/disabled at the campaign level. When creating a marketing campaign, you can check the Smart Sending option. The campaign will skip the contacts who have recently received the campaign within a specified period (the sending cycle).
Go to Settings > Smart Campaign Booster & Smart Sending to define your default sending cycle. You can set separate cycles for email and SMS (1-120 hours). The recommended period is 16 hours.
If you check the Ignore email/SMS notifications option, Smart Sending will not skip users who have only received transactional email or SMS notifications recently, like shipping confirmation or order confirmation.
Note: Changing the default sending cycle will only affect the newly created marketing campaigns. The existing campaigns remain affected. |
Enabling Smart Sending for Automation Flows
SmartPush also supports Smart Sending for regular operations or customer cycle management, including order confirmation, shipping confirmation, and more.
When creating these notifications in Automations, you can enable or disable the Smart Sending feature at each email or SMS node. The sending cycle also follows the values you set in Settings.
Please note that Smart Sending is not supported for the Order creation and Go to checkout (abandoned cart) triggers.
Note: When conditions are met to skip a notification, the notification is withheld, but the flow continues to the next node. |
