Product Review Block

Product reviews are an indispensable part of the e-commerce shopping process. According to statistics from Global Newswire, 95% of customers read reviews before making a purchase, and 58% of customers are willing to pay a higher price for products with good reviews. For merchants, the collected reviews can be utilized in various scenarios such as remarketing and enriching website layout, providing numerous benefits.


To assist merchants in improving the customer shopping experience, SmartPush has introduced the Review block, allowing you to collect customer reviews easily and effectively with the help of an automated system.

Prerequisite

With the Review block, you can set up review rewards to encourage customers to leave reviews proactively. Also, you may turn on reminders to prompt customers to use discounts and place orders immediately, increasing your online store's conversion rate.


Please note that the Review block is only applicable to the email editor in the automated system process and needs to be activated by setting the trigger conditions to “Order creation” or “Complete shipment” in the automation task. Once the settings are completed, the system will automatically retrieve the product information from the order and fill it in. In case you have selected an incompatible trigger condition that causes the system to fail to retrieve the information, the Review block will be hidden when the email is sent.

 

Items to be set up

1. Collected review information

  1. You can switch on/off the NPS review and product review.
  2. You can set 3 NPS questions and include POS variables in the questions. Please note that NPS review is only applicable to POS retail orders.
  3. Default information collected for each item includes star rating (0-5 stars, default 5 stars), content (up to 200 characters), and images (up to 9 images). When customers submit reviews, it is not obligatory to fill in star ratings, content, or images; the rest of the information entered by customers will be used.

2. Rewards that can be obtained after giving a review
Switching on this configuration item can encourage customers to leave reviews, while not turning it on may result in lower collection efficiency.

  1. Types of promotion: percentage, fixed amount, free shipping (the default validity period of discount campaigns is set to be permanent).
  2. Customers need to fulfill: 
    1. Configurable items (displayed according to the configuration): complete NPS review; reach the specific star rating; review content must be filled; and whether images are required.
    2. If there are multiple products in a single order, as long as any one of the products meets the reward condition, customers can get the review reward.
    3. If none of the configuration items are selected, customers will be rewarded once they submit the review.

  1. Remind customers to use discounts
    If you offer rewards to customers who leave reviews, switch on this toggle button to send an email to remind customers to use the rewards automatically, thereby heightening the conversion rate of the online store.
    1. Send now: After customers click "Submit," they will receive a reminder email immediately.
    2. Send later: When the customer clicks "Submit," the reminder email will be sent after the time limit you set (which can range from 1-365 days).
    3. Click Preview email content to set the content of the reminder email to be sent.

  1. If the “Reward After the Review” toggle is switched on

The Review Collection page will display the conditions for receiving rewards. Customers who meet the conditions will receive a discount, encouraging them to leave a review.

After the customer submits a review, the system will redirect them to a page displaying the discount code if they meet the reward condition (any product item meets the reward conditions). Otherwise, no rewards will be issued, as shown in the figure on the right.

  1. Coupon code: ​​Automatically generated and permanently valid.
  2. Button: Copy the coupon code by clicking on it and be redirected to the online store's homepage.
    *Note: A coupon code will be generated every time a customer submits an order review.
