Applying for Your SMS Sender Number

As Countries or regions and local carriers enforce stricter regulations on SMS messaging to protect customer rights, compliance has become essential to ensure your messages are delivered successfully. To meet these requirements, SmartPush mandates that merchants apply for and acquire a sender number, depending on the countries or regions your SMS recipients are in.

Country or Region Availability and Applicability

SmartPush provides SMS services only in the 17 countries or regions listed below. If your SMS recipients (i.e., contacts) are outside these locations, the service will not be available.

In certain countries or regions, as indicated in the table below, you are required to apply for a sender number.  You just need to apply for them once, and they can be used across the countries or regions within the same group. For example, the number you acquired can be used in both the United States and Canada. Apply for each if your recipients are distributed across the two groups.

For countries or regions that don’t require a sender number, no further action is needed on your side. SmartPush will continue to send your SMS messages as usual.
