Connecting Your Meta Account
Before you can sync your SmartPush segments to Meta, you'll need to connect your Meta account to SmartPush. Follow the steps below to authorize and link your Meta account:

In the SmartPush Admin, go to Apps > Integrations. Find Meta Ads and click Integration.

Log in to your Meta (Facebook) account.

Select the Business Account and Facebook Page(s) you want to link.
- Review the permissions and click Done. You will be redirected back to SmartPush automatically.
Syncing SmartPush Segments to Meta
Once authorized, follow these steps to link your customer segments to specific Meta audiences:
- Go to Apps > Integrations.
- In the Meta Ads section, click the more icon (...) and select Set up.
- Select the Custom Audience block and click Next step.
- Choose your Ad account, then click Add connection in the Connections section.

In the pop-up window: Select a SmartPush Segment (the source).
- Select a Meta Custom Audience (the destination).
- Click Add, then click Save and update.
Connection Rules & Limitations
To ensure a successful sync, please keep the following requirements in mind:

Audience Type: Only audiences categorized as Customer list in Meta Ads Manager can be synced.
- Pre-existing Audiences: You must create the audience in Meta Ads Manager before attempting to link it in SmartPush.
- Valid Contacts: SmartPush only syncs "Valid" contacts (those with a valid email or phone number who have subscribed to marketing).
- Sync Frequency: An initial sync runs immediately upon connection. Afterwards, SmartPush updates the audience daily.
- Contact Limits: The segment must contain fewer than 500,000 contacts.
- Excluded Data: Audiences containing the Customer Value column are currently not supported.
Best Practices
To make the most of your Meta Custom Audience integration, here are some suggested strategies to improve your targeting and campaign performance:
- Abandoned Cart Retargeting: Create a segment of users who abandoned carts. Sync them to Meta to show them the exact products they left behind.
- Lookalike Foundations: Sync your "High Value" customer segment to Meta and use it as a source to create a Lookalike Audience to find new high-potential customers.
- Product-Specific Cross-selling: Create segments based on specific product purchases and sync them to Meta to advertise complementary accessories.
