The Member System, Product Review, and SmartPush apps work together to help you turn post-purchase follow-up emails into product reviews. When Member System's Product Review points rule is turned on, customers can now earn points not only for reviews posted directly on your storefront, but also for reviews they submit by replying to SmartPush's automated review-invitation emails. This added incentive can help you collect more reviews, building the on-site social proof that supports purchase decisions.

Prerequisites for Earning Points on SmartPush-Submitted Reviews
Before setting up this workflow, make sure the following are in place:
- Member System and Product Review integration: Product Review must be integrated with Member System, with a Product Review points rule configured and turned on. See "Integrating Member System with Product Review" for setup steps.
- Member System and SmartPush integration: Member System must be integrated with SmartPush so that member and points data can sync between the two apps. See "Integrating Member System with SmartPush" for setup steps.
- SmartPush and Product Review integration: SmartPush must be connected to your Product Review app so that reviews submitted through SmartPush's emails sync back to Product Review. See SmartPush's "SmartPush Review Management App" article for setup steps.
- Plan requirement: Integrating Member System with Product Review requires the Growth or Pro plan.
Setting Up SmartPush's Post-Purchase Review Invitation Automation
SmartPush provides a ready-made automation template that emails customers a review invitation after they receive their order. To activate it:
- In SmartPush, go to Automations > Automation Templates, then open the Invite Review template.
- Review the pre-built trigger and timing: the automation starts when an order is created or updated, then waits 21 days before sending the review-invitation email.
- Customize the automation name if needed, then click Create Automation to activate it.
How Points Are Earned for SmartPush-Submitted Reviews
Once the integrations above are set up, customers can earn Member Points for a product review in two ways: by posting the review directly on your storefront, or by replying to a SmartPush review-invitation email with their feedback.
For example, if your Product Review points rule awards 50 points per review, a customer who replies to a SmartPush review-invitation email with a product review earns the same 50 points as a customer who posts a review directly on your storefront — as long as the review's status is Public.

Viewing and Filtering SmartPush-Sourced Reviews in the Product Review App
To see which reviews came from SmartPush's review-invitation emails:
- Go to your Product Review app and open the reviews list.
- Use the Source filter and select SmartPush to show only reviews submitted through SmartPush's emails.
- To include this information in an exported file, export your review data as usual. The exported file's Source column tags these reviews as SmartPush.
