Pop-ups are an effective way to convert website visitors into subscribers. SmartPush provides multiple pop-up templates that help you collect customer contact information and promote campaigns.

We recommend configuring the following pop-up types:

  • Welcome subscription pop-up:  Encourage new visitors to subscribe.
  • Abandoned cart reminder pop-up: reengage customers before they leave the checkout page.
  • Promotional campaign pop-up: promote limited-time offers or seasonal campaigns.

How to Configure a Pop-up

  1. In SmartPush, go to Pop-ups & Forms > Template Library.
  2. Choose a template that fits your store style.
  3. Enter the editor to customize the content and design.
  4. Click Activate in the upper-right corner after completing the setup.
     

Marketing Tips: 

  • Use high-quality brand images in welcome pop-ups to create a strong first impression.
  • Try spin-wheel pop-ups to increase subscription conversion rates.
  • Display a limited-time discount pop-up when customers are about to leave the cart page.

Create High-Quality Emails with AI Assistance

SmartPush provides an intuitive email editor and AI tools that help merchants create engaging marketing emails efficiently.

How to Create an Email Campaign

  1. Go to Campaigns > Template Library.
  2. Choose a template that matches your campaign style.
  3. Enter the campaign details, including:
    • Recipients
    • Email subject (required)
    • Preview text
    • Sender information
    • UTM parameters (optional)
  4. Enter the editor and drag content blocks from the left panel to design your email.
  5. After confirming the content, schedule the sending time and launch the campaign.

Recommended Email Optimization Features: 

  1. Smart Campaign Booster

Smart Booster helps re-engage users who did not open your original campaign by automatically sending a follow-up email after a defined period.
 

Best practices

  • Use a different subject line for the Booster email.
  • Leave at least 48 hours between the original campaign and the Booster email to avoid inbox stacking.
  1. Gmail Promotions Tab Optimization

SmartPush supports the Gmail Promotions tab feature, which allows your discounts to appear directly in Gmail’s promotions list view.

To enable this feature:

  • When creating an email campaign, enable Apply powerful features of Gmail Promotion tab.
  • Use the Discount Block to display promotion details.

Smart Sending prevents users from receiving too many emails within a short period.

When enabled, SmartPush will automatically skip users who have received another email within a specified number of hours, helping maintain a positive customer experience.

  1. AI Copywriting

The AI Copywriting feature helps generate marketing content automatically.

To use it:

  1. Enter campaign keywords or themes.
  2. SmartPush AI will generate email copy suggestions that you can edit and refine.

5. Smart Editor Blocks

The SmartPush editor includes multiple content blocks to help you design engaging emails, including:

  • Video Block
  • Countdown Timer
  • Product Block
  • Promotional Discount Block

These blocks help increase customer engagement and improve click-through rates.

6. AI Send Time Assistant

The AI Send Time Assistant analyzes user behavior and sends emails at the time each subscriber is most likely to open them.

To enable this feature:

  1. Select AI Scheduling Assistant when scheduling your campaign.
  2. Enter the campaign start time.
  3. SmartPush will automatically schedule email delivery for each recipient.

Recover Abandoned Carts

SmartPush provides automated abandoned checkout emails to help you recover these potential sales.

How to Enable Abandoned Checkout Recovery

Method 1: Enable in SmartPush

  1. Go to Automations > Automation Templates > Abandoned Checkout Recovery.

  2. Enable Abandoned Checkout Automated Marketing.

Method 2: Enable from SHOPLINE Admin

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications.
  2. Click Advanced Settings.

After enabling SmartPush abandoned checkout emails, the default abandoned cart emails in SHOPLINE will be disabled.

Configure Abandoned Checkout Emails

After enabling the feature, you can:

  • Select a pre-built email template
  • Set the sending schedule
  • Configure discount offers for abandoned carts

You can also click Add Strategy to create a customized automation workflow.

Notes: 

In Data Analytics, you can review performance dashboards including:

  • Abandoned Cart Volume Trend:  track abandoned cart activity and recovery performance.
  • Best Abandoned Cart Send Time:  identify the optimal time to send recovery emails.
